FILL UP THE VOID….??

FILL UP THE VOID….??

“BEING A LOOK ALIKE OF SMT.  INDIRA GANDHI, IS NO PASSPORT TO ENTER INTO POLITICS ARENA WHICH IS A SERIOUS BUSINESS.”

When all other tactics failed, the Congress almost devoid of a good leadership, politically, policy-wise, with all their past deeds catching up with them in the present, it’s become all the more imperative that, Priyanka Gandhi, who was a visitor, guest campaigner for her mother and brother, for all their electoral campaigns has decided to take the plunge. Not much of a media hogger, docility personified, now has to take on the political reins, mantle, owing to the inability of others and to prove themselves worthy of their place in the party.

Ending years of speculation, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, formally entered politics on Wednesday with the Congress appointing her general secretary for Uttar Pradesh East in a move reflecting the party’s intent to go full throttle in the state ahead of the general elections. She will take over her new assignment in the politically crucial state, which has been a Congress Bastion till the mid 1980’s, from the first week of February.

The appointment is being seen as a masterstroke which will boost the morale of the party workers in the state where congress influence has been waning over the years and where the Samajwadi Party and the bahujan Samaj Party have announced a tie-up. Priyanka Gandhi who turned 47, on January 12th this year, will assist her brother and Congress president Rahul Gandhi in the Hindi heartland state, which has 80 lok sabha seats, the largest of any state in the country. There had been speculation over her entry into active politics, party, and her mother Sonia Gandhi said that she would take the plunge when she decides so.

Commenting on Priyanka’s appointment as General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East, Rahul Gandhi said, I am very happy that my sister Priyanka will assist me in UP in the Lok Sabha polls. She is very capable. He further went on to add, when asked about Congress’s plan to revive the party in Uttar Pradesh, “we will play on the front foot not back foot”. Rahul’s comments came during his interaction with reporters in Amethi. He is currently on a two-day visit to his Lok Sabha constituency.

Ashok Gehlot, in his statement said, “Congress president has also appointed Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as AICC General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East. She will be taking charge with effect from first week of February 2019”. Rahul Gandhi also appointed Senior Party leader Jyotiraditya Scindia as AICC General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh West. Priyanka Gandhi and Scindia will replace Ghulam Nabi Azad, who has been appointed AICC general secretary for Haryana, where the party is divided into factions. The party has also made many changes within the party.

Priyanka Gandhi was earlier actively involved in key decision making in the party along with her mother and brother, including selection of new Chief Ministers for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh recently. She was also instrumental in initiating the entry of Manpreet Badal and navjot Singh Sidhu in the Punjab Congress. This mother of two, married to Robert Vadra, who is embroiled in land row in Haryana and Rajasthan and is facing probes by the Enforcement Directorate.

This appointment has also had the BJP commenting as follows, “Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s formal entry into the Congress is an admission by the party that Rahul Gandhi has “FAILED” in providing leadership, slamming the “FAMILY ALLIANCE”.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, “Congress President has opted for a “family alliance” after facing “rejection” from various parties of the proposed grand alliance. The congress has basically publicly announced that Rahul Gandhi has failed and needs crutches from within the family. Because of his rejection by grand alliance parties, he has opted for a family alliance”. Taking a dig at the opposition party, he further said, “it was natural that it had to “CORONATE” somebody from within the family and added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has projected the Lok Sabha Elections as a battle between ‘NAAMDAAR” (DYNASTS) AND “KAAMDAAR” (THOSE WHO HAVE WORKED).

The BJP leader Patra said, “The new India is asking the question, that who will be the next leader in the Congress as he referred to its succession line from Jawaharlal Nehru to Indira Gandhi followed by Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. All appointments are from one family. This is the fundamental difference between the Congress and BJP. In the Congress, the family is party. In the BJP, “THE PARTY IS FAMILY”.

All this goes to show, that Rahul Gandhi, has failed to prove himself an able head of the party, a seasoned politician that too coming from the politicians’ bandwagon. Rahul Gandhi has to realise that being a leader needs a lot of innate talent, political mind, good grooming to be a politician, should have good knowledge of the country’s past, present and future  and it’s no child’s play. Many youngsters who don’t have political background, learn hands on politics or are being groomed before taking the ultimate dive into this big field of play. One has to have the thirst to learn and play in this arena, where each and every move of one, will come under microscopic view of public and the opponents.

Mr. Rahul Gandhi, politics is not an easy game, one has to grow up to the fact that, they should be very strong knowledge-wise, have immense mental strength, keep oneself updated on the political happenings. One has to have a very serious view about our Country and its political scene.

SORRY TO SAY, MR. RAHUL GANDHI, AS A PERSON AND POLITICIAN YOU NEED A LOT OF GROWING UP!!!!
